Where you start out when you start up!

With the 6th Edition of Startup Weekend Biel/Bienne – SIPBB restarted the Event Season after COVID-19.

Startup Weekend is the place where you build an idea into a business model in 54 hours. Everybody has a chance to pitch and to participate. From 19 pitches this year, 4 teams formed that worked through the weekend, presenting their new service or product to a jury on Sunday.

Along the way, coaches guided and supported the teams. Challenging and nurturing what could become a successful business in the future. Everybody who participates comes back with all the basics to understand what it takes to make a startup work. Also maybe getting a prize for your idea doesn’t hurt 🙂

So who made it big this year?
The first place went to CAMPINATURE.

The Team wants to revolutionize the camping business by providing a platform where you can rent camping spots on private lands. They are helping people to create a far superior and more solitary experience for your holidays. As a winner of the first prize, the Team will be entered directly into the accelerator program of be-advanced AG and can participate at the be-advanced Challenge.

The second place went to Dazor.

This Team created a new razor design for customers that want a durable and high-quality shave-utensil. This group combined their different expertise to work hard and present a first mockup prototype to the jury.

The third-place went to Nu2u

Compelling and on the puls of time, Team Nu2u engages people with a second-hand market platform to find new owners for their beloved old clothes. But it is more than just a trading platform. Nu2u wants to share the story behind your valued textiles. It gives customers the option to donate a portion of the profit to an NGO of their liking.

Special thanks go to our Sponsors and Communication partners, Coaches, Jury members, the Facilitator and the organization Team.
